Our Jar is made by skilled craftsmen who have been making jars in Japan since 1862. It has a minimalist matte black design and an all-metal body that will last for many years.
We use only the highest quality materials sourced and manufactured in Europe, water-based paints and short transportation distances.
To preserve the aroma of the matcha for as long as possible, keep it sealed in a dark and dry place.
You can tell how fresh it is by its bright green colour.
The SummerRain jar was specially developed for storing our Matcha and seals the contents airtight thanks to the integrated rubber insert. To make cleaning easier, you can easily remove it.
P.S. On the bottom of the jar you will find a QR code to easily order new Matcha at any time.
In our bag, the matcha is optimally protected from moisture, UV rays and other environmental influences. The thermolamination process also eliminates the need for harmful adhesives.
Once opened, the bag can be easily resealed. After use, you can dispose of the bag in the yellow bag without hesitation thanks to the "Made for Recycling"seal. This way, the bag remains in the recycling system and is not incinerated.
As a young start-up, we are constantly trying to develop further. We believe that sustainability can never be a closed topic and that there is always room for improvement. Our Matcha has been grown and processed according to the strict organic requirements of the Japanese Agricultural Strandards (JAS). This is particularly important with matcha, as the entire tea leaf is consumed.
The reasons for this are the elaborate processing and the careful selection of the tea leaves. Our Matcha consists only of the first harvest, which consists of the most tender Tencha leaves. These are additionally shaded before collection, which gives the matcha its bright green colour and is responsible for the unique taste. The tea leaves are then dried and gently ground.
SummerRain Matcha combines a balanced blend of delicate sweetness, intense freshness, creaminess and strong umami. The umami taste in particular is unusual for some people and its spiciness can remind you of seaweed, but this is due to the high chlorophyll content. If the taste is too intense for you, try one of our many recipes. Our Matcha Lemonade in particular has never disappointed anyone.
High-quality matcha tastes spicy-sweet, floral and refreshing. Some blends may have nutty, roasted notes, while others may have a floral taste. High-quality matcha blends contain more savoury "umami" notes that are characteristic of shade-grown green tea. It also gets a long finish that lingers on the palate for a few minutes.

We only offer pure matcha without additives or mixtures, which is why it is naturally gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan. By the way, the same applies to most of our recipes.
